— The Los Angeles City Council Redistricting Commission will conduct a public hearing in Pierce College’s Great Hall. The public is invited to comment on the commission’s first draft, which places all of West Hills inside the 12th District.

— Congregants of Shomrei Torah Synagogue will gather at Zuma Beach Café to help Heal the Bay clean the beach.

The Golden Age of American Popular Music Series presents “Together or Not: Johnny Mercer and Hoagy Carmichael” during the Senior Shalom Brunch and Program at the JCC at Milken, 22622 Vanowen St., West Hills. — Kids in grades 2-5 will make Valentine Card Creators from free kits supplied by Lowe’s Kids Clinics at Lowe’s, 8383 Topanga Blvd., West Hills. Participation is open to the first 50 kids to register online here and show up at the store by 10 a.m.

6-10 p.m. — Chaminade College Preparatory High School presents its Film Festival in the Bob Hope Center. Twenty-four films by Chaminade students will be judged in Narrative, Documentary and Experimental categories. Admission is free and open to all.
