Background:
A resident of West Hills for 31 years. I was active as a volunteer in the LAUSD for about 13 years. I was the first Chair for the Earthquake Preparedness Committee at Welby Way Elementary. I was an active parent volunteer—including room mom, chaperone, and classroom volunteer at Welby Way, Portola Middle School, and the Reseda High Math Science Magnet. I was a Den Leader, WEBELOS leader, Pack Committee Chair, Merit Badge Counselor, Scoutmaster, Venture Crew Leader, District Scouting for Food Chair, Commissioner, and Membership Chair for the Los Colinas District of the Boy Scouts of America.

I have recently have been California Archaeological Site Stewardship Trained. I have written Op Ed pieces for the Daily News and contribute to OURLA.org.

Goals: My primary goals are to protect public health and to protect the environment. I am a tireless researcher – always better seeking to understand the health risks in our community related to contamination that is the legacy of our aerospace, nuclear research, and defense history in the West Hills and surrounding area.

I want to protect the residential status of our community according to our community plan; to protect the Pierce College Farm Center; to save the Southwest Museum; to clean up the LA River; to assure the health and safety of the open space in our Simi Hills; to protect the cultural aspects (Native American) of the Simi Hills; and I want to help create a park at the Santa Susana Field Lab site that will be a place to preserve and to educate our community about the Native American history of this area,  and to educate about the history of aerospace and nuclear research at the Santa Susana Field Lab site.

It is also very important to me that we support our local food pantries, and we support and assist our American military, veterans, and other first responders.
