West Hills NC

Feb 2018 Community Cleanup Event

On Saturday February 17th, the West Hills Neighborhood Council hosted a great community cleanup along Woodlake Avenue and Saticoy Street. Local residents, students, and board members from the WHNC filled 103 bags with debris and cleared some sidewalks that were unpassable (requiring pedestrians to make an unsafe detour into the busy street). We want to thank all our volunteers, including the amazing Reseda High School ROTC, Key Club members from El Camino Real, Chaminade students, and local residents who came out to help or stopped by to say hello during the cleanup. We also want to thank Badda Bing Bagels for donating bagels and cream cheese, and Starbucks for coffee. WHNC, of course, provided water to keep everyone hydrated, and this month, lemonade.
