WHNC 9/17/16 Community Cleanup Event

More than 50 volunteers turned out on Saturday morning, Sept. 17, for the latest monthly Community Cleanup organized by the West Hills Neighborhood Council’s Beautification Committee. Among those pitching in to clear weeds and debris from the sidewalks and gutters of Platt Avenue between Candlewood Way and Balmoral Lane were members of the Kiwanis Club of Warner Center-Woodland Hills, the El Camino Real and Taft High School Key Clubs, and members of the WHNC Board of Directors, among others in the community. In three hours of focused work, the crew filled roughly 60 bags worth of trash, weeds and other green waste.  “We want to thank everyone who came out and made this month’s cleanup another great success,” said Reeyan Raynes, who co-chairs the WHNC Beautification Committee with Tony Brosamle.  For information about the committee's next Community Cleanup project or to recommend a location, visit www.westhillsnc.org/beautification-committee.php.  (Photo Credits: Daniel Brin, Tony Brosamle and Tom Booth)
