West Hills 8/12/17 Community Cleanup Event

On Saturday August 12, the West Hills Neighborhood Council had a great community cleanup along Sherman Way between Shoup and Fallbrook. From local residents, leaders, and board members from the WHNC, everyone came out on a beautiful Saturday morning to better our community and to beautify West Hills. In total, this amazing group of roughly 30 people were able to clear roughly 40 bags full of weeds and debris from our streets. We want to thank all our volunteers and local residents who came out to help or stopped by and said HI during our cleanup. We also want to thank Starbucks, and Badda Bing Bagels donating food and coffee to energize our volunteers. We also want to give a special shout out to Sean McCarthy, Cameron Gil, and Mercy J Alpert from the Woodland Hills Warner Center Neighborhood Council, who showed up in force to help in difference in West Hills. Also, special shout out to Assemblymember Matt Dababneh for having the amazing staffer Cameron Gil join us at our event. We are so fortunate to have such great local residents and businesses in our community.
